these are things that happened / in real life

12-4 means the fifth AFC seed means the Jacksonville Jaguars play the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.

Sigh.

Foxboro, here we come!

why is Yahoo Sports' NBA score tracker so much better than that on the NBA website?

Or, Why Do I Constantly Confuse Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis When Looking At Stats and/or Box Scores?

It's because of Ray Lewis, the Ravens linebacker.

I'm back from a few days out of town. Actually, I was back about four days ago, but I've been too busy - doing shit-all - to write.

Anyway, I'm very tired, and I don't really want to write anything, but I feel somewhat obligated to you, blog. So I'll complain about Damon Stoudamire being injured, likely for the season ("Daaaaaaamoooooon..."), rejoice exuberantly in the Grizzlies' and Raptors' 2-game winning streaks ("Go Grizzles, and also Raptors!"), rejoice still exuberantlier in the Jaguars' win against the Texans and playoff spot ("You know who beat the Texans on Sunday and are therefore in the playoffs? The Jacksonville Jaguars, that's who!") and maybe complain about how much work I have to do, and how I'm not doing it ("I have to write at least one play, a comparative essay, and a paper outlining my personal philosophies, and prepare presentations on my play, essay, and the oral tradition, and I've barely started any of them.").

I'll also maintain my own interest in what I'm writing by including a somewhat humourous (read:not humourous) postscript:

This post was written between 11:30 and 11:43 PM, December 31, 2005, and post-dated to the New Year. I'm looking ahead!

This post was also written to the sounds of The Wood Brothers singing Good To See You.
