Soothing Action Action Action
My essay is all kinds of done, even though it's too long. Two done, one to go.
Lately I've found love songs consuming my attention for some reasons. So here's the King Cole Trio playing It's Only a Paper Moon:
It's only a paper moon,
Hangin' over a cardboard sea.
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me.
It's only a canvas sky,
Sailing over a muslin tree.
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me.
Without your love,
It's a honky-tonk parade.
Without your love,
It's a melody played on a penny arcade.
It's a Barnum and Bailey world,
Just as phony as it can be.
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me.
{old-school Oscar Moore guitar solo}
Without your love,
It's a honky-tonk parade.
Without your love,
It's a melody played on a penny arcade.
It's a Barnum and Bailey world,
Just as phony as it can be.
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me.
Two minutes of perfection. How is it that I can have a sixty-year-old Nat King Cole recording that is listenable?
In other news, the Raptors fell hard to Chicago, but the Grizzles are bouncing back nicely against Minnesota.
Flah!
